The production process of rubber dam mainly includes the following key steps:
One, production of the dam bag
Material preparation
Selection of rubber materials
Generally, high-quality synthetic rubber such as neoprene is used. Neoprene has good weather resistance, aging resistance, water resistance and strength, etc. For rubber dams used in special environments, such as those used in strong acid or alkali environments, special rubber materials or special modification treatment of rubber may be used.
Selection of reinforcing materials
Usually, polyester or polyester fabric is used as the reinforcing material. These fabrics have high strength and low elongation, which can effectively improve the strength of the rubber dam bag and enable it to withstand external forces such as water pressure.
Manufacture of the fabric
Coating process
The rubber raw materials are made into a viscous and plasticizable rubber compound through mixing and other processes, and then evenly coated on both sides of the reinforcing fabric using a coating machine. During the coating process, the thickness and uniformity of the rubber compound must be strictly controlled to ensure the quality of the fabric. For example, the single-sided thickness of the rubber compound is usually controlled at around 1-2 mm.
Sulfurization treatment
After the fabric is coated, it needs to be sulfurized. It is placed in a sulfuration equipment and subjected to a sulfuration reaction at a certain temperature (usually around 140-160°C), pressure (depending on the thickness of the fabric and the equipment requirements, generally 1-3 MPa) and time (depending on the number of layers and thickness of the fabric, which may require several hours). The purpose of sulfuration is to make the rubber molecules form a cross-linked structure, Valves must have good sealing and adjustability to precisely control the inflation and deflation process of the rubber dam. For inflatable rubber dams, air compressors and gas valves are needed.
Monitoring Equipment
Produce monitoring equipment for the status of the rubber dam, such as water level sensors and pressure sensors. Water level sensors are used to monitor changes in water level upstream and downstream of the rubber dam, while pressure sensors are used to monitor pressure within the bag. These sensors must have high precision and reliability, and be able to adapt to the working environment of the rubber dam.
Control System Integration
Integrate the inflation and deflation (gas) equipment, monitoring equipment, etc. with control circuits and control cabinets. By writing control programs, automated control of the inflation and deflation (gas) process of the rubber dam can be achieved, as well as automatic adjustment and alarm functions based on monitoring data. For example, when the pressure inside the bag exceeds the set value, the control system can automatically open the drain (gas) valve for pressure relief operations and issue an alarm signal.
